What's included
- Meta Pixel and Conversions API through the Facebook & Instagram app, with data sharing set correctly and events deduplicated.
- GA4 through the Google & YouTube app, with purchase, add-to-cart and checkout events checked.
- TikTok pixel and events API through the TikTok app for Shopify.
- Google Tag Manager, only when your store needs extra tags or custom events.
- Duplicate tracking cleanup — old pixel code in your theme, leftover apps and double-firing events removed.
- Consent settings connected to Shopify's customer privacy settings or your cookie banner.
- A test purchase check in each platform's event tools, so you can see the events arrive.
Signs your tracking is broken
- Meta or TikTok reports far fewer purchases than Shopify, or twice as many.
- GA4 shows revenue that doesn't come close to your Shopify sales.
- Events Manager shows warnings about deduplication, missing parameters or low event match quality.
- You moved to a new theme or checkout and tracking stopped.
- Your ads used to perform well and suddenly "can't find" buyers.
Who this is for
- Shopify brands spending on Meta, TikTok or Google ads in the US, UK and Canada.
- Stores that changed themes, apps or agencies and now have messy or duplicated tracking.
- Store owners who want numbers they can trust before scaling ads.
How it works
- Free tracking health check of your pixels, apps and theme code.
- Fixed scope and price before work starts.
- Access — Shopify collaborator access and partner access to your ad and analytics accounts. No passwords.
- Set up and clean up each platform through the official apps.
- Test with real test events and check them in Meta Events Manager, GA4 DebugView and TikTok Events Manager.
- Handover with a short summary of what tracks what.
Pairs well with
- Facebook & Instagram Shop setup — the same Meta app handles both your shop and your pixel.
- Landing and product pages that convert — once tracking is right, you can see which pages actually sell.
FAQ
What is the difference between the Meta Pixel and the Conversions API?
The Meta Pixel runs in your shopper's browser and can be blocked by browsers, ad blockers or missing consent. The Conversions API sends events from the server side as well. Using both, with deduplication, gives Meta a more complete view of your purchases.
Why do Shopify, GA4 and Meta show different sales numbers?
Each platform counts differently: different attribution windows, time zones, consent rules and ways of handling refunds. Some difference is normal. Big gaps, or purchases counted twice, usually mean a setup problem worth fixing.
Do I need Google Tag Manager on Shopify?
Not always. The official Shopify apps for Meta, Google and TikTok cover most stores. Google Tag Manager is useful when you need extra tags or custom events, and I set it up only when it adds something.
Do you set up cookie consent for UK visitors?
Yes. Stores selling to the UK need consent before non-essential tracking. I connect your tracking to Shopify's customer privacy settings or your consent banner, so tags respect each visitor's choice. This is setup work, not legal advice.
