- Disapproval and warning fixes — reading each issue in Merchant Center and fixing it at the source in Shopify.

- Free listings turned on, and the feed ready for Google Ads Shopping campaigns if you run them.
Fixing misrepresentation and suspensions
A misrepresentation suspension is one of the most common reasons Shopify products disappear from Google. Requesting a review without changing anything rarely helps. I go through the store the way Google's reviewers would:
- Contact details — a real business name, email, and other contact options that are easy to find.
- Policies — clear shipping, return and refund policies that match what you actually do, linked in the footer.
- Prices and checkout — prices, currency and stock in the feed match the product pages and the checkout.
- Claims — no promises you can't back up, such as unrealistic discounts, guarantees or health claims.
- Leftover pages — no empty, test or placeholder pages and no broken links in the main navigation.
- Business information — the details in Merchant Center match the store.
Only then do I request the review, with notes on what was changed.
Who this is for
- Shopify brands in the US, UK and Canada setting up Google Shopping for the first time.
- Stores with a suspended Merchant Center account or a misrepresentation warning.
- Stores with many disapproved products or "limited performance" warnings.
How it works
- Free audit of your store, Merchant Center issues and policies.
- Fixed scope and price before work starts.
- Access — Shopify collaborator access and user access in Merchant Center. No passwords.
- Fix the store, the feed and the account settings.
- Review request when the fixes are done, and follow-up if Google asks for more.
Pairs well with
- GA4 and Google tracking — make sure Google sees your purchases correctly.
- Monthly store care — I keep an eye on new Merchant Center warnings every month.
FAQ
Why was my Google Merchant Center account suspended for misrepresentation?
Google uses misrepresentation when it doesn't trust that your store is clear and honest with shoppers. Common causes are missing or hard-to-find contact details, unclear shipping or return policies, prices that don't match the checkout, and claims Google can't verify. The fix is to correct the store first, then request a review.
Can you guarantee my Merchant Center account will be reinstated?
No. Google decides every review itself, and nobody outside Google can promise a result. What I can do is find the likely causes, fix them on your store and in your feed, and prepare the review request properly so you don't waste attempts.
Do I need Google Ads to show products on Google?
No. Products approved in Merchant Center can appear in free listings on Google. Google Ads Shopping campaigns are optional and use the same product feed.
Which Shopify app do you use for Google?
The official Google & YouTube app for Shopify, which syncs your products to Merchant Center. For stores with special needs I can also work with a feed app, but the official app is enough for most stores.
